Your Zirko subscription is not billed by Zirko but by Paddle. That is what is on your invoice, and it is not a mistake.
What Paddle is, and why
Paddle is legally the seller of your subscription. Paddle collects in its own name, owes the VAT and issues you the invoice for it. For you that has two practical consequences:
- Zirko never sees your payment details. Card number, bank details, security code — none of it is held by us. Only the card type and the last four digits are mirrored, so that you can tell in the application what is being paid with.
- The payment method and the subscription invoices sit with Paddle, not in Zirko.
What you do in Zirko
Under Settings → Company → Contract & subscription you see and change:
- status, package, price and next debit
- changing your package
- monthly or annual term
- adding and removing licenses
- booking and canceling add-ons
What happens at Paddle
Two buttons in the same tab lead into Paddle's customer portal:
- Change payment method — there you lodge a different card or a different payment route.
- Open subscription invoices — there you find all invoices for your subscription, available at any time.
Canceling the whole subscription also runs through this portal. It takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Are the buttons grayed out? Then the payment provider has not reported a portal address to us yet. That happens while the subscription is brand new — try again in a few minutes.
Subscription invoices and your own invoices
Two different things, and they sit in different places:
| Invoices from Zirko | Your outgoing invoices | |
|---|---|---|
| Who issues them | Paddle | your business |
| Where they sit | Paddle's customer portal | in Zirko under “Documents” |
| What for | your subscription | your jobs |
So under Documents in Zirko you will never find your subscription invoices — that is deliberate and not a missing entry.
The billing contact
We pass the email address, the postal address and the VAT identification number of your business from your business details to Paddle. If your business is based outside the EU, it is the equivalent tax number of your country.
The VAT ID decides how your subscription invoice is treated for tax purposes. Keep it up to date — it is under Business details. If you change it there, what Paddle bills changes too.
