The trial — fourteen days, and what comes after

Start without payment details, and know in good time what happens on day fifteen.

On this page

Zirko runs free of charge for fourteen days. You need no credit card and no bank details for that. On the fifteenth day the trial is over — and then something changes that you should know about beforehand.

Exactly how long

Fourteen days from the day you create your business. How many of them are left is shown in the settings under Company → Contract & subscription, at the very top: “9 days left in the free trial.”

For the last seven days, Zirko also puts a banner across the application so the end does not take you by surprise.

There is one trial per person. Anyone who creates a second business after fourteen days does not get another fourteen days.

What the trial includes

Everything: every feature from every package, as many people as you like and both add-ons that otherwise cost extra per business — scheduling and automation. Once you start subscribing, the smallest number of licenses you chose while doing so applies for up to 24 hours as the limit on how many people can work.

None of it turns into a paid booking by itself. After the trial, the package you choose applies: features it does not include are then no longer available, as many people can work as you pay licenses for, and an add-on is only back on board once you book it. Scheduling is already included in the Company package.

What happens on the fifteenth day

Zirko does not lock access, it switches to read-only. You still get to everything you have recorded up to that point — but you can no longer change it.

This no longer works:

  • creating, changing or deleting anything — customers, projects, documents, master data
  • issuing and sending quotes and invoices
  • recording times and reports
  • writing in the project chat and uploading photos
  • scheduling or moving assignments
  • inviting people

This carries on:

  • reading and searching, printing documents and saving them as PDF
  • exporting all your data
  • canceling — including correcting an invoice downward or voiding it
  • recording incoming payments
  • subscribing
  • deactivating people and withdrawing open invitations

Your customers notice it too. An upload or acceptance link you have sent then says that it is not available right now. Invoices that suppliers send to your incoming invoice address, on the other hand, keep arriving — you can take them over as soon as your subscription is running.

The lock sits in the database, not in the interface. A grayed-out button would not be a paywall.

Switching over before the end

You do not have to wait the fourteen days out. The way to a subscription is open from day one: Settings → Company → Contract & subscription → Subscribe to Zirko.

Only the Office – Admin may do this. Office – Management and Office – Project management do not see the “Contract & subscription” tab at all. So if you are looking for the subscription and cannot find it, someone else in the business holds that role.

What you set after that — package, licenses, monthly or annual — and which package includes what is described under Changing plan, licenses and term.

If the trial is already over

Then the “Contract & subscription” tab says Expired instead of “Trial period”, and the button to subscribe is still there. Nothing is lost: your data stays, and as soon as the subscription runs, everything is open again.

If you want to decide differently, download your data first — see Exporting your data.
